Information
We would like to say a special thank you to Leigh Rogers who set up P&DCFR’S in 2009, obtaining support from the Round Table and the local community, appealing for funding and creating one of the county’s most successful teams. He was also able to arrange the setting up of the village’s first Heart defibrillator site with the help of the Parish Council.

After several very active years as a volunteer advanced CFR he joined WMAS as an ambulance technician & quickly qualified as a paramedic. A period managing acute care training and then as a hospital ambulance liaison officer followed. He now works within A&E departments continuing to develop & use his specialist skills for the benefit of others as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

Although once qualified as a paramedic he could no longer volunteer with the CFRs, he continued his involvement with our team as Trustee & Chairman of the charity, providing valuable advice & training to us all. After marriage to his lovely Zara and moving out of the local area to easier access their work & then with the arrival of their twins, Leigh reluctantly decided that it was time to retire as a Trustee with the Penkridge CFR group, although like his mother who was the groups second CFR, he still follows what we are all up to!

On behalf of your responder team & I’m sure on behalf of the many people you have saved & helped in their time of desperate need, thank you for all you have done and the ongoing success of the CFR team in Penkridge & the surrounding villages is a testament to your vision & efforts.
