About Hodson Ford (Open Website)

Hodson Ford has been part of the fabric of Penkridge for over 100 years, and its present family owners of 40 years, also live in Penkridge. The dealership is one of the largest employers in Penkridge. In recent history, the dealership moved to its current site on the corner of Boscomoor Lane and Wolverhampton Road for greater workshop and parking facilities, from its original location in the centre of the village. Hodson Ford attract customers from outside the area who enjoy and use the local amenities in Penkridge and Staffordshire, and the Dealership continues to invest heavily in the local area through sponsorship of many local events including the Penkridge Fun Run, school fetes, and the Penkridge beer festival to name but a few.

How Hodson Ford helped Penkridge & District Community First Responders:
P&DCFRS have had 2 second hand cars since the group started – initially using an old Ford Mondeo. The problem with running older vehicles was that eventually maintaining them to the high standard of reliability and safety we needed starts to become prohibitive. It had also always been the ambition of trustees to have a vehicle that would enable them to operate at the very times when ambulances responding from outside the area would be delayed by winter weather conditions. Our aim was to achieve this by our tenth anniversary and Hodson have helped us do this in a number of ways. Hodson’s suggestion of a Ford Kuga AWD not only met our requirements but also our budget!)

Response Vehicle Sponsorship
As an emergency and rescue charity, with Hodson Ford’s support we were able to secure, a car at fleet pricing even though only buying one car. In addition, their finance team researched and ensured we could benefit from some tax concessions with appropriate ambulance conversion work and checks to meet other appropriate specifications during initial ordering and before final purchase. Thank you all for being lifesavers!

Other Support
Hodson Ford allowed the use of their original premises in Crown Bridge as the location of the village’s first public access heart defibrillator! A number of their staff have also taken part in first aid and AED awareness training with our team!
