Mike joined our group in August 2009 completing the First Person on Scene qualification in July 2010.   He was for many years the Charity’s Treasurer and Team Co-ordinator.

Mike has a long history of volunteer work, having served with West Midlands Police Special Constabulary for more than 20 years, achieving the rank of Special Chief Inspector and being awarded an MBE in 2003.

He is currently a Parish Councillor in Huntington, one of the other villages in our responding District.

Although having retired as an active CFR in 2022 he remains a trustee with a special interest in encouraging and developing the provision of public access defibrillators.
