Simon successfully completed the ‘First Responder on Scene’ qualification in 2022 and is now an active First Responder.

Simon lives in Acton Trussell with his wife, two sons and pet labradoodle.

Having led the Traffic Officer Service at National Highways, Simon saw first hand how his on-road and control centre teams responded to  incidents on the motorway network, and the importance of training for anyone first on scene at an incident.

The chance to join Penkridge & District Community First Responders provided an opportunity to volunteer to support the local communities and West Midlands Ambulance Service, as well as developing skills that can be used in everyday life.
